A 249 cc enduro-style KLX250R from the late 1990s, sharing the liquid-cooled four-valve single and steel double-cradle frame of the earlier versions. It keeps the kick starter and cable-operated multi-plate clutch, with long-travel Uni-Trak rear suspension. It was built for trail and off-road use rather than road riding.
